The studio of design in Madrid, DIEZ+DIEZ Diseño, formed by the brothers Javier Díez, industrial designer, and José Luis Díez, interior designer, is specialized in product design. They have realized projects for different firms, like B.D. Ediciones de Diseño, Mago:Urban, MiSCeL•LâNia, Escofet 1886, Ecoralia, Cabanes, Mata and Porcelanas Bidasoa, among several other ones.
 
In 2004 they were awarded with  a Prize of the Asociación Española de Profesionales del Diseño and in 2005 one Delta de Plata of the ADI-FAD, both of them for the bench GODOT.
And in 2010 they were awarded, also by the AEPD, with the prize of its XIII Edition, for the benches DOVE, produced by the firm MATA.

The architect and journalist Juli Capella has selected Diez+Diez Diseño as one of the 20 best Spanish design studios in his book “BRAVOS diseño español de vanguardia”.

 

Mariano Ferrer
mariano ferrer The industrial designer Mariano Ferrer studied at the design school Escola Eina, in  Barcelona, he was one of the founders, early in 1970, of Mobles 114, firm dedicated to design, production and sale of furniture, lamps and home acccessories. With it, he participated in the design of products of great diffusion like the wallshelving TRIA, and the lamp GIRA.
In 1981 he moved to live in Santa Cristina de Aro (Girona), wherefrom he is developing his professional activity today.

Distinctions:
During his professional trajectory he has got many distinctions for his designs:
The wall hanger ESPIRAL, produced by Miscel•lània, was awarded with a Delta de Plata of Adifad in year 1970 (design in collaboration with R.Blasco), and the review holder LO, produced by Miscel•lània was as well awarded with a Delta de Plata in 1999.
In the year 1990, the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), of New York,, included the wallshelf support PINÇA-PLUS in their year’s selection.
Other  outstanding awarded selectioons were: Adifad in year 1982, for the wallshelf support PINÇA, SIDI Selection in 1988 for the slanting wallshelf ÍNCLIT and Adifad Selection in 1997, for the adjustable wallshelf support BLOC.

Most of Mariano Ferrer’s designs are being produced at present by Dinàmica Complements, S.L.

 

Ramón Benedito
Ramón Benedito. Barcelona. National  Design Prize 1992.  
He attended studies at the Superior School of Design ELISAVA .

In 1973 he founds Benedito Design, a team devoted to product design.
He takes part very actively in national and international seminars. He has dictated
Conferences and has regularly collaborated with different institutions linked with design. He has been President of the Managing Board of ADI-FAD and a consultant member of  the KIDP (Korean Institute of Industrial Design) and a member of the Board of BCD Foundation.

In June 2010 is nominated General Manager of the Private Foundation of University School ELISAVA.
He has been awarded with several design prizes and his work is shown in  the main cities of the world.

 

Miquel Milà i Sagnier
 

Miquel Milà i Sagnier (Barcelona, 1931) is a Catalan industrial and interior designer.
He studied Interior Design together with the architects Alfons Milà i Sagnier i Federico Correa, founder of the firm TRAMO together with Ribas Barangé and Pérez Ullibarri, manufacturer of some of the best known lamps of our designer, such as the wellknown models TMC and the TMM.

Further on, Miquel Milà creates his own design studio, wherefrom he has worked in a numberless quantities of projects. He is a co-founder of the ADIFAD institution, together with André Ricard, Antoni de Moragas, Oriol Bohigas, Cases, Pellicer and Rafael Marquina. He was a very active member therein.
He is considered as a pre-industrial designer, since his optic of the disseny  (design) is more as a craftsman (artesà), taking much care of the task, controlling the different processes, correcting errors, working at maquettes and prototypes.
He was awartded with several prizes, among them several Gold and Silver Deltas of ADIFAD, the prize APECMO and the Good Industrial Design. In year 1987 he was awarded with the National Design Prize and in 1993 with the Creu de Sant Jordi (best Catalan distinction).

Out of the already mentioned TMC (1958) and TMM (1961) lamps, other outstanding products were the lamps CESTA (1964), MANILA and M68 (1968), or, more recently, the door handle for FSB, the umbrella-ashtray holder TOMBA’L, produced by MiSCeL•LàNia, the bench NEOROMÀNTIC (1995), the NEOLIVIANO (2000) or the NEOCOMBO (2002). Furniture pieces of his design were installed at the new decoration of Palau Robert of Barcelona.

 

Raimon Monsarro i Cerdà de Palou
raimon monsarro

- Degree in industrial design at the ELISAVA School of Barcelona (1993-1997)
- Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Design (BA (Hons) Design), at the Southampton University   (United Kingdom).  
-  Scholarship of  Erasmus-Sócrates at the Akademie Industriele Vormgeving, Eindhoven (AIVE),  (Holland), in 1996-1997.
In 1997 begins to collaborate at the Lievore Altherr Molina Studio, of Barcelona, in projects developement.
In the year 1997 too, he associates with Carlos Marzàbal, to make projects together for different firms.
In the same year 1997, he participated and was awarded with a Honour Mention at the 15th  International Furniture Design Contest at the Fair in Valencia, in the category of students, with the floor hanger BLUM.
In 2002 he participated and was awarded with the 2nd Prize at the 16th Furniture Design Contest of Manacor (Majorca), with the furniture piece for reception room ROL
And in the same year, the firm Dinàmica Complements, S.L. produces and sells in all Spain the floor hanger  BLUM and the wall hanger INDEX.
Since the year 2008, he is a teacher at the Elisava School of Design, with masters of product and furniture.
